Serves 2
Ingredients:
3 tsp Vegg powder
1 C almond milk or other milk alternative
1/4 C fresh orange juice
Splash of Grand Marnier (optional)
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4 small slices sourdough bread (I used 2 large Trader Joe's cracked wheat sourdough, cut in half)
Pure maple syrup
Organic powdered sugar (optional)
Earth Balance
Transfer to shallow bowl
Dip bread slice in mixture for 10-20 seconds on each side
Fry in lightly oiled, heavy-bottom pan until golden-brown, flip and cook other side
Transfer to a plate and garnish with Earth Balance, maple syrup and powdered sugar
The nutritional values of The Vegg are pretty great considering how closely it mimics an egg...

ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that you're making the switch! If you ever need any advice, let me know!
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know it's not at Whole Paycheck yet. I order it from veganessentials.com It's about $2 cheaper than Amazon. It's really good. VERY eggy! :)
What is Vegg made of?
ReplyDeleteif it has no carbs or protein or fat?
It is made from nutritional yeast, black salt, beta carotine and sodium alginate. You constitute it with either almond, soy or coconut milk or water.
