Tough Mudder...eeeeeek!!!

Well, it's finally that time! The NorCal Tough Mudder that I registered for NINE MONTHS ago is upon us (me and my other crazy friends that signed up for this thing). Saturday, September 17th we will be running a grueling 11-mile course that ranges between a 6,000 and 8,300 foot elevation, swimming in frigid, muddy water, climbing impossibly high walls, running through fire and getting electrocuted. No, there is nothing wrong with us, I swear! It is all for a good cause...the Wounded Warriors Project, a really great organization that aids injured vets once they come home. You can find out more about them here:

If you would like to help me raise money for these folks, follow this link and type in my whole name, Susannah Denegree:

Thank you so much in advance and wish us luck! We're DEFINITELY going to need it!!! Oh, and if you'd like to see the actual course we will be running, here it is:

I'm a little scared...

  1. found you blog via a comment you left on FB. First, thanks for speaking up for me in the comments. Also, my photographer (the one that shot my header photo & does a lot of other projects for me) shot at this event! He was there! I have my own mud run this weekend that I'm trying to get excited for. Anyway, from another vegan atheist whose favorite movie is the Royal Tennenbaums, thanks, glad I found you!

  2. No way!! It is such a small world! It was really, really fun! Totally terrifying, but fun! You will have a great time this weekend! So glad I saw your post too. It is really refreshing to know that there are more of "us" out there, that's for sure! :D
